A few weeks ago my partner C.W. and I opened our new creative space in Yucca Valley, CA called Things & Things. I’m moving towards a title of “natural artist” combining a love and long term study of taxidermy with my other passion, floral design. To celebrate we threw “Skeletons & Shadows” our inaugural art show and party. 25 of our best friends made rad art to blow the socks off of our little desert town. Everyone we loved was there to support us, and we are still riding a high from the energy of that night. I finally had the chance to show these coyotes I have been working on for just under 3 years. I showed them surrounded by a luscious floral installation that took about a week and 7 friends’ help to put together. The coyotes are all still available as individuals so please direct message me if you’d like to bring one of these powerful beasts home. The floral installation has died over the last two weeks but is still up and looking beautiful, some say cooler than ever. This weekend will be the last chance to see it on view before we transition the space to its next phase.
I haven’t been active much on this account due to the amount of prep we’ve put into Things & Things. I invite you to follow me at to keep up with the happenings and my floral art.
There is no way I could have pulled off this piece without an outpouring of help from so many special people in my life. My two apprentices & have been working on these coyotes with me for literal years! Meanwhile it was so heartwarming to have so many friends join me in the days before the show to help me put together this awesome install just to name a few. You guys are my rocks.
To all my Taxidermy clients waiting on commissions; thanks you for your patience. Sometimes life gives you an opportunity that requires your full heart and soul to be poured out and that is Things & Things. All your pets are still very much under my care and ready to come home soon. I just needed this time to get things going and now will move back into my private studio for the fall and finish all your projects 🖤

Full of joy this week for my apprentice Maria after completing her very first cat full skeletal articulation. Maria inspires me everyday with her patience and commitment to learning. She has a full time job and is a full time mom. And yet, still makes time every week to help me in the studio and learn this rare and unique art form. We should all learn something from Maria and make time for ourselves and our passions. She is proof that if you want to do something just fu***ng do it. Just over two years ago she skinned a cat for the first time and now here we are looking at the most stunning regal skeleton you’ve ever seen. She’s unstoppable and I’m so inspired 🌸✨

Big congratulations to my apprentice Lindsey who completed her first ever skeletal articulation. A year and a half long project from skinning to finish. And it came out so great!! Cutest pose!
Lindsey started learning taxidermy from scratch with me in Nov 2022. She’s currently in her 3rd year of taxidermy training. Nothing can stop her now! Not only has she learned taxidermy in the last few years, she also opened a local pet supply store that caters to locals looking for natural and good quality pet food/treats and supplies. Major appreciation to and for your generous donation of this cat for scientific and educational purposes. The feral cat coalition helps by offering free vet care and spay/neuter for feral cats in San Diego county. The number of cats they save every day outshines the few sad casualties to sickness or disease that come through their care. Thank you for all that you do, and for helping my apprentices learn this valuable and dying art form.
