Applications are open for our 26/27 season! Students interested should submit an application, with only our Advanced Orchestra requiring an audition.
Applications are due on Tuesday, August 18th at 11:59 PM by email to [email protected]. Please make sure you are completing the audition form for the group you are trying to apply for.
Auditions for Advanced Orchestra will take place at MCAA on Tuesday, August 25th at 5:00 PM. For students who are auditioning, be prepared to perform the following:
- One 2 octave scale of your choice (3 octaves recommended for Violin 1, 1 octave for Bass).
- An excerpt of a piece of your choosing, demonstrating your current playing ability.
- A sight reading excerpt, provided at the audition.
Rehearsals are on Tuesdays from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Room M1 in Yuba City. Our first rehearsal and mandatory parent meeting is Tuesday, September 1st. Other important dates this year are as follows (subject to change):
- Tuesday, October 13 - Fall Concert @ St. Andrew
- Tuesday, December 15 - Winter Concert @ St. Andrew
- Saturday, February 6th - Young Artist's Concert & Concerto Competition with YSS @ St. Andrew
- Saturday, March 6th - Dream Big Concert @ Oroville State Theater
- Tuesday, April 27th - Summer Concert @ St. Andrew
Tuition and fees are $300 for Advanced Orchestra, and $200 for Intermediate Orchestra. Please bring tuition to the first rehearsal and parent meeting.
