🎭✨ Behind the Scenes of Little Histories: Ali Giessner's handcrafted coffin set piece 🪓🌿
🎨A poignant and beautiful element, this piece is not just a set piece. It's a work of art embodying the themes of folk opera Little Histories - memory, legacy, and the transient nature of life. Ali Giessner, artist, woodworker, and potter, has infused this creation with the love and care. 🌌
“Local composer Grey Grant explores Western death culture in their upcoming opera "Little Histories," which will be presented by their experimental theater company Fifth Wall Performing Arts. The opera considers the end of life through a lens of love instead of fear.” – Rylee Barnsdale, On the Ground Ypsilanti
