Blessed Beltane! 🌞
For this Beltane, I wanted to share some insight to the oracle card from my Azúcar Bone Oracle:
🌞 This card represents the middle of spring. We begin to feel more of the Sun’s warmth and find ourselves wanting to be outside enjoying the colors of spring. The fire of the season is beginning to build inside us as we dance around the May pole.
🌞 What is an oracle card or oracle deck? This type of deck is another form of cartomancy. These decks can feature any theme or images to provide guidance. They can be used with or without tarot, in or without a card spread. I, personally, consider them similar to interpreting dreams.

🐀 NEW DRAWING - “Martin the Warrior”
As a personal preference, I don’t draw fanart except on very (VERY) rare occasions. When I found out this year is the 40th anniversary of Redwall, my favorite book series ever, I knew I had to honor it with my rendition of Martin the Warrior, inspired by his tapestry description.
I can’t put into words what this series means to me, so much so that I have a special tattoo of Martin’s sword on my leg. Happy anniversary, Redwall! Eulalia!

🐇 I wanted to capture the sense of a “revealing light”. I don’t eat mushrooms (gross) but I honor them a lot in my work because they are fascinating. Their role in nature feels like they are old gods. Whatever you hide at night will be revealed by the right light. Take that however you’d like.
