My new book is out!
The traditional reading of the book of Genesis asserts that Adam was the first human being to be created and he was created perfect, but he disobeyed God and corrupted his soul. He then passed his own sinfulness to his children and the rest of humanity, dooming them all to eternal separation from the holy God. But if biological evolution is true, Adam was neither perfect nor the only person on earth at the time of the events in the garden of Eden. This book presumes that Adam and Eve were real people and that they indeed disobeyed a direct command from God, but interprets the events surrounding that disobedience through the lens of a world that came into its present state over billions of years. It also provides an alternative to the western church's doctrine of original sin that is consistent with the Genesis narrative and relevant New Testament passages and which maintains mankind's universal need for a Savior.
