Jazz In The Park Youngstown Great music. Even greater company and community. Jazz in the Park Inc. is the premiere event for live Jazz music in the city of Youngstown, OH.

Established in 1992 by Karen Clark-Green and the late Michael S. Green Sr., Jazz in the Park Inc. has been providing a relaxing, fun and family-friendly atmosphere for easy listening and professional musicianship on Sunday afternoons every Summer season. Current proprietors, Jeff Green and Al "J*p" Robinson (Player's Express Entertainment) work zealously in conjunction with the City of Youngstown

to offer free Jazz concerts every Sunday afternoon between July and September, giving the community a positive environment with high-quality entertainment and good memories to last a lifetime.

Peabo Bryson, the two-time Grammy-winning R&B singer celebrated for his performances on the Disney classics “Beauty and the Beast” and “A Whole New World,” has died at 75. 🕊

Bryson’s death was confirmed days after a spokesperson revealed that he had suffered a stroke on Sunday. The singer “transitioned peacefully at 5:00 p.m. ET on the evening of Tuesday, June 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family and those closest to him.”

His catalog also included beloved hits such as “Tonight, I Celebrate My Love,” “You’re Looking Like Love to Me” and “As Long as There’s Christmas.” 🕊

I want to extend my sincere thanks to Howard Hewett for lending his timeless, soulful voice to this rendition of Ribbon in the Sky.

Howard’s voice is something that’s really difficult to put into words. There is a depth, a sincerity, and a feeling in his voice that you recognize immediately. Howard’s voice has this rare ability to truly move the listener. And what he brought to this recording elevated it in a way that means so much to me and my family. My wife Karmen always loved Howard as a singer, and that admiration has lived within our family for many years. I have always appreciated his artistry, and we are deeply grateful that he was willing to share his gift on this recording.

Howard and I also share a meaningful connection through the great George Duke. I had the honor of recording George’s composition “This Time” on Howard’s album, and we both shared a deep love and respect for George. He was an extraordinary composer, writer, and musician whose influence continues to live on through all of us.
