I created this special birthday card for my beloved partner. He was delighted. I used my own gel plate printed papers and collaged this joyful art piece in freeform cut letters with rounded edges to create a bright card. This is art. Simple. Beautiful. Joyful.

This year's Collage Makers Summit is great. I have been wanting to do looser work and this is the ticket. I will be using a sewing machine on paper for the first time. Final project pics later.

Playing with some Claycrete paper-mache today. I used some Dr. Ph Martins Radiant concentrated water color to add a green hue to the pulp. I had planned on making two bowls, but made a bowl and a plaque instead. These will be incorporated into a future mixed media creation. For now I wait several days for the forms to dry completely.

Florida art intensive workshop has been fantastic. So good being back with "my people". Looking forward to completing the art project I started upon my return home. I consider Elizabeth St. Hilaire my mentor, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to learn from her.

On a work trip. I take art projects with me. This project began as a small Kraft paper colored notebook a friend gave me awhile back which I collaged this evening using a few of my hand-printed papers and scraps. Art does a body good! 🥰
