Here are this week’s Public Skates, and we have some extra-special events planned! ⛸️✨

🥫 August 24–28 | Hockey Fights Hunger
Rec players can bring canned or non-perishable food donations to their first night of practice. The age group that collects the most items will win a private skating party and have its group photo displayed on the lobby TV all season!

📚 Friday, August 28 | School Spirit Night
Wear school spiritwear or show your student ID for $10 admission—or donate five food items to the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank and skate for only $5!

👑 Saturday, August 29 | Skate with a Princess
12:30–1:30 PM | All Ages | $17
Donate a food item for one raffle entry per item!

🏒 Saturday, August 29 | Skate with the Yorktown Admirals NCDC Players
7:30–8:30 PM | All Ages | $17

Hockey Fights Hunger starts TOMORROW!!!! 🏒🥫

New season. Same community. Let’s make an impact!

We’re kicking off the 2026–27 Rec Season by helping Hockey Fight Hunger in Hampton Roads!
From August 24–28, bring canned or non-perishable food donations with you to your first night of practice. And yes… there’s a little friendly competition involved. 👀

🏆 The age group that collects the MOST items will win a Private Skating Party AND have their group photo displayed on the lobby TV for the season!
