Welcome to The Team! Amanda Berkson is thrilled to be returning to Yorktown Stage, where her love of theater began at age 7, when she performed in The Wizard of Oz and Annie. She graduated with a BA in theater from Muhlenberg College. She is now an award-winning director as well as a performer, producer, and dramaturg, based in NYC. As a theater educator, she has a passion for helping young performers feel confident, comfortable, and connected to their craft. She is the co-founder of Berkson Productions, a theater development company with a mission to bring new musicals to life and foster a community of young theater makers.

In a Berlin nightclub, as the 1920s draw to a close, a garish Master of Ceremonies welcomes the audience and assures them they will forget all their troubles at the Cabaret. With the Emcee’s b***y songs as wry commentary, Cabaret explores the dark, heady and tumultuous life of Berlin’s natives and expatriates as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich. Cliff, a young American writer newly arrived in Berlin, is immediately taken with English singer Sally Bowles. Meanwhile, Fräulein Schneider, proprietor of Cliff and Sally’s boarding house, tentatively begins a romance with Herr Schultz, a mild-mannered fruit seller who happens to be Jewish.

Welcome to The Team - Anthony Michael Velez!
Anthony Michael Velez is a NYC-based performing artist/educator. Recent credits include: Simon (Jesus Christ Superstar), Angel (Rent), Paul San Marco (A Chorus Line), and Arpad Laszlo (She Loves Me) at the Mac-Haydn Theatre. This past year he was on the National Tour of Cat Kid Comic Club: The Musical as Melvin/Dance Captain (TheaterWorksUSA). In 2024, Anthony made his Off-Broadway Debut in El Otro Oz at the Atlantic Theatre. When he’s not auditioning, he works at CAMP Inc. as an Immersive Performer/Mascot for the Bluey x Camp and Trolls x Camp Experience. He recently worked for Broadway Bound Kids as a Teaching Artist and is finding joy in educating the youth about the power of storytelling.

He is overjoyed to be utilizing his passion for dance through his newly acclaimed passion: choreography…and of course as a twirling townsperson! He has recently choreographed Roger and Hammerstein’s Grand Night for Singing and The Secret Garden at the Mac-Haydn Theatre. He is very much looking forward to his new position at Yorktown Stage as the Youth Director. Anthony would like to give his deepest gratitude to his family and friends for always supporting his passion for the arts and education.

2026 Summer Camp Is a Wrap!

What an incredible summer! A huge thank you to all of our campers, families, instructors, and staff who made this year’s camp such a success.
