"Poetry is a matter of life, not just a matter of language." βοΈππΉ
Lucille Clifton's famous words remind us that poetry is more than words on a pageβit is a reflection of life, a way to connect with each other and a force that can inspire and transform.
Last Friday, 14 of Central PA's best spoken word performers brought the history of poetry to life onstage, each embodying a pivotal poet from the 1800s to the present day. Through their performances, The Lancaster Living Poetry Museum gave audience members the chance to experience these influential voices in a whole new way.
Thank you to all who joined us in the Capitol Theatre! Congratulations to all of the performersβyour passionate portrayals made the evening truly special. β¨
