The people have spoken and I will deliver. Here is an early look at what is coming this Halloween…

Dressing cacti in costumes for Halloween. It isn’t exactly something you think about every day, and I’d also like to point out the fact that there aren’t really any designated costumes for cacti. But this didn’t stop me because I believe we should all be able to enjoy the festivities, including our green prickly friends. “Halloween Cacti” will be available on the 31st of this month.

That being said, these are sacred cacti. I’d like to remain respectful to the cultures that value them. This means not only honoring the plant by treating it with integrity, and also sharing the message this plant embodies. I am doing so by sharing these incredible plants in a way that is relevant in our modern society.

Come stop by the LGC stand this Halloween to get your own San Pedro in a costume! (ponchos and sombreros included)

Check out what’s new!

Here are some 3D printed faces I made that are exact replicas of my Clay Faces that I built with clay by hand. They are scaled down a little so they can be more practical.

They have a strong magnet embedded in the print itself, so you can put it on your fridge and it will stick!

Huge thanks to root & relic for making this possible

LGC’s 2nd official San Pedro Saturday starts tomorrow morning at 9am in Central Market York! Come on over and I’ll introduce you to the wonderful world of sacred cacti and also provide a care guide to go with your purchase.

At this point there are two varieties (PC and Scop) and with time I will soon create a wider variety of interesting cacti to choose from.

The cacti I offer are already rooted and established in their pots and are also ready for transplanting if you choose to do so.

Scop drop coming next week (9/5) for LGC’s first *official* San Pedro Saturday! You guys liked the san pedro so much that I’m working on expanding this little corner of my shop into a small cactus nursery. Next in line for this adventure is Scop aka Spineless San Pedro! It’s everything San Pedro is just without those dastardly spines. San pedro with spines will remain available.

Now here are some facts about the Scop cactus for the nerds…
1. Scop is a shortened name for “Trichocereus Scopulicola”
2. The cactus originates from Bolivia
3. The specific strain that will be available is a hybrid of MP Scop x Dr. G Scop
4. Each cactus is about 8” tall and grows fast
5. This cactus comes from a lineage that has been wild growing and treated with respect by the majority of the cultures that had access to them for at least 3000 years.
6. Treat them right and they will not plot against you.

Attention all Central Marketers. I say with a little sadness that the coin dino is retiring from LGC and is starting a new chapter for himself. He was tired of being mistreated by a handful of small children. He will still be around for another week or two so bring some change and say your goodbyes.

What’s new?

The small space where the dino once was will be transformed into a cactus nursery. I will have a variety of sacred cacti available every saturday in an event I’ll call “San Pedro Saturday”. Coming soon.

Again, I apologize to all the kids (and adults) out there who enjoyed the thing almost as a market ritual but it is time for something new.

Hello, everybody. I apologize for the late notice but LGC will be closed today due to extreme weather and will open again on saturday when things are more tolerable. Stay safe and remember to drink some water ❤️
