At YTCG we believe that education in the arts is not a spectator activity. We believe that students need to get their hands dirty if they want to advance in their discipline. That’s why our goal is to advance the artist’s skills and abilities by offering, not just classes with lessons that

end when the class ends, but instead, classes that create a base on which the artist can keep building and learning throughout their lifetime. Since the beginning, the Guild has kept to its tradition of educating, disbursing and practicing art and handcraft. And now, most recently, we have bent new resources, energy and elbow grease toward the revitalization of that already firm commitment to sharing skills and knowledge within the community. 📣 NEW BEZEL SETTING CLASS!

🌟Ready to ignite your creativity and create a piece of jewelry that’s all your own? Join us for an exciting 3-hour metalsmithing class where you’ll create a stunning piece of jewelry featuring a bezel set gemstone. 💎

This beginner friendly workshop will guide you through every step of the process. You will learn how to build your own bezel setting to perfectly fit your chosen gemstone. Then, you will solder your pieces together and add personal touches using metal stamps and other detailing techniques. You’ll master the art of setting your stone and finish your creation with a polish.

💍Whether you choose to make a beautiful ring or custom necklace, you’ll walk away with a sparking piece of jewelry that you made entirely yourself!

New class coming up Friday, September 26!

Ready to unleash your inner artist and craft a stunning piece of jewelry? Join our fun and beginner friendly two-hour metalsmithing workshop where you will create a one-of-a-kind set of sterling silver rings that are uniquely yours.

In this class you'll learn the fundamental techniques of metalsmithing from start to finish. Our experienced instructor will guide you through each step of the process including how to form and shape your silver, add personalized texture to your designs, use a torch to solder the rings together and give them a professional, eye-catching polish.

You’ll leave with a stunning set of handcrafted rings plus the skills and confidence to continue your metalsmithing journey. Come solo or bring a friend for a creative and memorable experience!

If you're looking for a new hobby or are interested in the wood lathe this is the class for you.

Beginners bowl turning class will use various tools and techniques of wood turning. You will learn the safe and efficient operation of a wood lathe.

This 5 week class has a $400 fee with materials included!

Precious Metal Jewellery Class, New Session starting March 27th!

March 27th 6-9pm. This is a four week class.
This class is designed for metal workers who wish to explore new techniques in the discipline. Beginner thru advanced artists are welcome. The guild is equipped to offer a variety of techniques in our newly expanded studio including forging, repose, etching, embossing, tool making, prong setting many more. The class will be tailored to the needs of the student. A $35 material fee is required in addition to the class fee.

New pottery classes starting this month!

Classes run from March 19th - April 23rd, offered at both 1-4pm and 5:30-8:30pm

We will be practicing basic throwing skills to gain proficiency. The goal is to develop your skills to the point where you are comfortable creating on your own. You will be firing and glazing some of your pieces at the end of the course to keep as examples of your best work. Clay will need to be purchased separately from the instructor for $20 per 25lb bag.
