The Yorkshire Playhouse, a local community theatre, has been bringing live theatre to York and the surrounding area for over 40 years. We put on five mainstage shows every year, and provide the opportunity for local children to learn and perform through our Yorkshire Playhouse Children's Theatre program. We also host the Yorkshire Playhouse Playwrighting Contest (YPPC), which features the works of
