We’ve been in our new location at the The Grotto for a full six months! During that time we have welcomed nearly 1,100 attendees. Our programming has expanded to include more “piloted” events led by people from the community, more recurring Hangar-produced programming, and all kinds of private rentals, including bridal showers, children’s birthday parties, nonprofit organization and committee meetings, a memorial gathering, and a recent surprise retirement party.

Tickets are still available for tonight's story slam. The theme is Fork in the Road, and Lancaster Story Slam co-producer Tony Crocamo will be our MC for the evening.

We want to hear your stories of facing a turning point, choosing a side, or committing to a path. However you interpret the theme, we look forward to hearing your true stories. Those who wish to share a story will sign up upon arrival that evening.

Food is available for purchase during our events (tonight is the debut of the Hangar's signature sandwiches!), and we’ll have beverages (both boozy and NA options), as well, for those who prefer a little liquid courage before putting their name into the hat.

Now in it’s 11th year, York Story Slam is a monthly gathering where anyone can take a turn at the microphone and tell a true, personal story based on that month’s theme. The theme for May is Fork in the Road, and Tony Crocamo will be the MC for the evening.

We had to cancel two of our events recently. And that sucks. Not for us, but for our community. This doesn’t need to happen… if you see an event that interests you AND you know you will be available for that day, BUY TICKETS IN ADVANCE. Tell your friends about it. Share it with your dentist. That’s the easiest way to keep events happening!
