I watched colorful sunsets, marveled at Rainbows, and watched the leaves change colors as butterflies & birds danced in the air. As an adult, I imagine myself there, dreaming up new ideas and creations for you. I've dreamed up Pottery & Glass Home Decor & Jewelry, as well as, handmade jewelry sup

AS A CHILD, Cindi loved to sit in the shade of a Sycamore Tree on her grandfather's farm in Virginia. As an adult, she imagines herself there, dreaming up new ideas and creations. She's dreamed up Clay and Glass Sculptures of Fantastical and Real Creatures, Nature Inspired Home Decor, and Wall Art, as well as, handmade Jewelry and her own handmade Jewelry Supplies.
JUSTIN learned from his parents that most anything could be used to create art. Then, as an adult, he discovered working with Glass! Now, he is part of the 'In the Shade of the Sycamore Tree' story. Justin works on a torch to create Glass Pendants, Fantasy Insects and Creatures, Memorial Cremation Pendants, and other other fun glass ideas that captures his imagination.
IN THE SHADE of the SYCAMORE TREE CREATIONS are original designs created by Justin or Cindi (sometimes both!) and most are One-of-a-Kind. Check back often - We are often adding new items.
INSPIRED BY A WALK IN THE WOODS, reading fantasy stories,or looking at a beautiful sunset, their creations convey our fascination of nature, it's colors, textures, and forms, as well as, it creatures. Some of their creations are also inspired by world cultures and recent trips to exotic places. They share a studio. They often collaborate on one-of-a-kind mixed media Sculptures, Window installations and Shadowbox scenes.
They collaborate, creating art installations in local Art Galleries, in Central Pennsylvania. Their collaborations are pure fantasy, with dragons, elves, tree spirits, and many more fantastical creatures - some friendly and benevolent while others are a little sinister and creepy. Their collaborations are inspired by family hikes in the forests of Pennsylvania, fantasy and science fiction films, and fairy tales that they read together when they were children.
