Tomorrow is another free event in collaboration with of York. I am honored to have Victrola Dance Hall serve as a space of support, celebration, education, and well-being for our local LGBTQIA+ community. All are welcome to join a mixed-level class that runs 6:30-7:30pm and covers 2-3 different dance styles. This monthly event is structured as a family-friendly group class, though minors must be accompanied by an adult. You do not need a partner to participate! 🪩

I hear this all the time during a first lesson. People often feel they need a warning ⚠️ label. Silly friend, the whole reason I'm here is to show you that you are! You always have been and you can unlock endless abilities within yourself.
All bodies are born dancing, responding to the charms of sound, we just pack a lot of things on top of allowing ourselves. Shame and fear are incredibly powerful motivators for keeping our bodies silent, but this really isn't that serious. If you don't have any toddlers in your life to remind you, I invite you to jump into a class and find the reminder there. 👏🏼

Need help getting your 10,000 steps a day, but don't want to have to think about it too much? Dancing is a great way to move a lot without even noticing! Never danced before or took a long hiatus? At the Victrola, it's never too late to start!

We believe dancing not only benefits your physical and mental health, but that it also has the ability to meet our communal needs. The hustle and bustle of American life can isolate us in our loads of work; it can be hard to make time for seemingly "non-essential" networking and connections. We encourage you to step on the floor, re-connect with yourself, and be inspired by what meets us all there!
