HIVE artspace is an arts collective based in Downtown York, Pennsylvania, consisting of the HIVE gallery, the HIVE artist studios, and the HIVE resident artists in those studios. The mission of HIVE artspace is to inspire, motivate and support the members of the Collective in their artistic endeavors, to work together to bring independent art into a gallery setting, and to actively participate in, cultivate and nurture the growing creative community within York City. HIVE has new exhibits every month that open on First Friday each month, and they are free and open to the public. Hours:
Saturday 12-5
Sunday 12-4
First Fridays 5-9

CALL FOR ART:
Mini artworks for the November exhibit at HIVE artspace in York, PA.

Submission Period: October 1 through October 15 (by midnight).
Exhibit dates: November 6-28, 2025.
Special Event: November 28 - Small Business Saturday

Seeking mini artworks for the November exhibit at HIVE artspace. Open subject, but artwork must not exceed 6” in any direction. All mediums are welcome for submission.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
There is no fee to submit artwork for consideration. Submitting artwork does not guarantee acceptance into the exhibit. All artists will receive notification the week after the submission deadline, whether their artwork was selected or not.

SUBMISSION NOTES:
• Up to 4 submissions allowed. See important note below regarding submission images.
• There is no fee to submit, but there is a flat $5 exhibit fee for accepted artists ($5 total regardless of number of artworks accepted.)

October 2-31, 2026.

The Annual Spooky Art Show is back for our October exhibit! Intended as a celebration of the Halloween spirit, this exhibit calls forth all things creepy, spooky and scary, hair-raising things that go bump in the night, that lurk in dark corners, abandoned places and just out of the corner of you eye, haunted houses and eerie graveyards, denizens of the shadowy forest and night skies, and other things that give you goosebumps and keep you up at night, all balanced with just a touch of spooky cuteness and retro fun. Featuring artwork & giftable creations by over 50 regional & national artists, and a special showcase of works by Jon MacNair.

Come visit us at HIVEartspace this weekend for some fun little freebies! We had a few treats left over from First Friday (except the cookies which were baked today and no one had them for first Friday so that’s a Saturday exclusive!), so we will keep giving them out until they are gone! Open 12-4 on Sat & Sun.
