Barrell Bourbon Batch 036 is coming in hot at 114.44 proof — but you wouldn’t know it from how smoothly it drinks.

The nose is maple. Very sweet on the smell.

Taste - Black cherry & caramel

Finish - Toasted oak with a long, warm finish

Big flavor, a little sweet, and dangerously easy to drink for 114 proof. 8.8/10 for me.

And yes
 sometimes the best bourbon glass is a coffee mug on the beach.

One of my favorite parts of hosting bourbon tastings is that they’re about so much more than bourbon.

Sunday, I had the honor of pouring four bourbons in memory of Bill—a beloved son, brother, and friend who passed away two years ago.

I never had the chance to know him, but through the stories, laughter, and memories shared around the table, it was clear how deeply he was loved. The love in that room was something special.

Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of such a meaningful tribute. Cheers to Bill. đŸ„ƒ

Had the chance to taste a single barrel Elijah Craig, 133 proof
 absolutely fantastic. Smooth, bold, with a beautiful finish—especially with a couple drops of water off the pinky. The finish is nutty.
