Today's post is an aerial panorama taken in the Val d'Orcia Italy in 2019. This spot, including the much photographed Vitaleta Chapel in the distance, is a World Heritage SIte, and rightly so. Thoughts of one of my favorite places on this first day of the New Year.

I'm trying something new with importing 360 images from my Google Photos account. Let me know if it doesn't work for easy viewing.

This is a 360-3D video shot at Pemaquid Point lighthouse in Maine on September 19, 2020. This is an ico9nic Maine lighthouse south of Damariscotta, where the dramatic coastline is hammered by surf. The geologic history is remarkable as evidence by the contorted metamorphic rocks. Taken with an Insta360 Pro2 camera. The sound is a work in progress but hopefully captures the environment. Best viewed in 3d with Oculus/Daydream/Cardboard, etc. but fun in 360-3D as well.

A 360-3D video of the ocean surf at Two Lights State Park in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Can be viewed in 3D with Oculus, daydream, or Cardboard compatible headsets. Working on the sound, with the wind noise too loud in this video. Shot with an Insta360 Pro2 camera.

This video was taken with an early prototype VR camera that I developed and the resolution is less than the current technology.
