🤖 There’s no “maybe” about it, HUDSON is definitely proud to be a part of Maybe Happy Ending, the new musical that is now open at the Belasco Theatre! HUDSON provided the scenery, automation, set electrics, and technical supervision for this “cutting-edge and brilliantly executed” production (The New York Times). The stage deck alone contains a ring revolve, 10’ diameter lift, push-chain deck tracks to move Oliver and Claire’s apartments, retractable custom “firefly” elements, and apron platforming, which has three lifts and LED video tiles across the fascia. To bring the video design to the rest of the stage, HUDSON designed and fabricated support structures for the proscenium and midstage video portals. A signature part of Dane Laffrey’s design are the LED-lined panels that track, fly, and even lift out of the deck to iris the stage picture. While not seen in the photos, HUDSON also outfitted the Belasco with an extensive rigging package to support over 75,000 pounds of scenery, lighting, sound, and video equipment. “Maybe Happy Ending” is now playing on Broadway.
