A love letter to my hometown. Dear McKenna,
This space has been a long time coming.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of creating a place where our community could come together not simply to dance, but to reconnect with one another. A place where children discover confidence, adults rediscover joy, families make memories, and creativity becomes part of everyday life again.
Pointe Dance Hall was never meant to be built overnight. It’s a dream project, and dreams worth building take time. Every decision is being made with intention, heart, and a deep respect for this community. We’re currently working alongside local artists to create our signage and bring the space to life, and I can’t wait to share each chapter as it unfolds.
Our hope is to begin offering summer classes in July, with programming for women, children, and a welcoming, respectful space for male dancers as well. You’ll find everything from country line dancing and ballroom to hip-hop, Christian dance, ballet, pom, performance, and creative movement. More than anything, you’ll find a place where everyone is welcome exactly as they are.
While I absolutely love helping dancers pursue professional dreams and if that’s your goal, I can help you navigate that path I believe the journey matters far more than the destination. Dance teaches discipline, resilience, confidence, friendship, courage, and self-expression long before it teaches perfect technique.
Our philosophy is simple: wellness over perfection. Movement over comparison. Community over competition.
I believe we’re living in a time when people are craving genuine connection. We need places where phones are put away, laughter is shared, music fills the room, and people remember what it feels like to simply be together. There is something deeply healing about creativity, movement, and music. That’s what I hope Pointe becomes a place where hearts are lighter when people leave than when they walked in.
This isn’t just about dance.
It’s about giving our small town another place to gather, celebrate date nights, cheer on our children, make lifelong friends, and remember that joy is something we create together.
Thank you for believing in this dream before it’s fully built. Thank you for cheering us on through every step, every paint color, every class schedule, and every milestone.
We’re just getting started.
