Auditions - September 6th and 13th (Saturday afternoons) 1:00 to 3:00

Performances - October 18-25, afternoons

-Auditions are cold reads from sides

Headshots/resumes welcome and not required
1 minute monologue welcome and not required

This one-act comedy revolves around three couples at a restaurant. Two of the couples are married to each other and the other couple is meeting for the first time.

Characters:

The couples were originally cast as all in their 30’s yet we’re interested in auditioning a broader age range:

Server – any gender/age

Mandy and Paul – 20-40’s

Barbara and Michael – 20-40’s

Doris & Todd – 20-40’s

*All roles open to humans from Earth

THE NEXT CENTER STAGE PRODUCTION

When you’re out on the Yellow Springs Art Studio tours this October, take a break between studio visits and come join us in the afternoon for our latest Center Stage production.

At tea time, please enjoy some performance art at "Three Tables" by Dan Remmes, a one-act play presented by Yellow Spring Center Stage.

This comedy about relationships, old and new, is sure to illicit smiles (and groans) of understanding. Please spend 45 minutes with us for tea, fresh-baked scones and some delicious eavesdropping on three couples who are, were or are about to be - in love.

It is with great sadness that we note the passing of Doug Hinkley. Doug was a mainstay of community theater in Yellow Springs for many years. There will be an open house at the Hinkley/Becker residence this Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Look for more details in this week's YS News.

The cast calls for 5 men and 2 women.

Production dates are April 25th and 26th and May 2nd and 3rd.

"The Women" has been canceled due to the inability to put together a cast of 15 female actresses. In its place, we will be producing "The Lion In Winter" - see below for details.

The Lion In Winter
The director is Elise Peyroux.
The auditions are March 5th (Wednesday evening) at 7:00 to 9:00.
Also March 8th (Saturday) 2:00 to 4:00.

The production is April 25th and 26th and May 2nd and 3rd.
at the First Presbyterian Church.

The cast needs 5 men and 2 women.

The Lion in Winter is a 1966 play by James Goldman, depicting the personal and political conflicts of Henry II of England, his wife Eleanor of Aquitaine, their children and their guests during Christmas, 1183. It premiered on Broadway at the Ambassador Theatre on 3 March 1966, starring Robert Preston and Rosemary Harris, who won a Tony Award for her portrayal of Eleanor. It was adapted by Goldman into an Academy Award-winning 1968 film of the same name, starring Peter O'Toole and Katharine Hepburn. The play has been produced numerous times, including Broadway and West End revivals.

Call for actresses:
