First official week on the job and it’s already a celebration! Cincinnati’s new convention center opened today and I am so proud to be part of .art.speak, the organization that brought these three works to life. Shout out to all of the artist, designers, project managers, and fabricators that made this work come to life. We are our strongest together!

Art work in order (last three pics):

A sculptural installation reflecting cultural memory, sound, and shared experience inspired by Cincinnati’s Music Hall.

Children Building the City - Conceptual
Designer: Antevin Brown, Graphic Designers: Black Art Speaks & Display Dynamics
A symbolic work merging Cincinnati’s history with the promise of its future, centered on youthful exuberance, legacy, and collective growth.

Sweet Sounds of the Nati - Conceptual Designer:
Adoria Maxberry, Graphic Designers: Black Art Speaks & Display Dynamics
This piece allows the viewer to hear Cincinnati visually, transforming the city’s rich and diverse soundscape into rhythm, movement, and form.

Because you know don’t play about locking up your phone, this is the only photo evidence I have of the most amazing concert night EVER! (Better than Beyoncé cause it was up close and person, argue with yo mama). Last night and I had the pleasure of sitting front row to hear the return of Floetry live in concert. Not only was me and vibing all night. At the end she gifted me her notebook with messages and sketches written throughout! An absolute dream come true!! Crazy story: two days before tickets went on sale I was telling Marché how much I wished they’d get back together cause I never got to see them live, then boom! Can’t convince me I didn’t manifest all this 💁🏾‍♀️. Thanks you ladies for an amazing evening

Join me for a powerful conversation at the University of Cincinnati!

I’m excited to share my upcoming talk, Visualizing Narratives: A Pathway to Reflection, Empathy, and Advocacy, where I’ll discuss how art and storytelling can inspire compassionate care and social change. I’ll be highlighting two of my projects, Bodies in Flux and Mood Altering, which explore health equity and the power of personal narratives.

Date: Thursday, March 6
Time: 4:30–6:00 PM (Meet & Greet from 4:00–4:30 PM)
Location: Taft Research Center + Zoom option
Register: Link in bio

This event is hosted by UC’s Narrative Medicine, Compassionate Arts & Healing (NMCAH) Taft Research Group, led by one of my former grad school professors, a fierce advocate for equity and inclusion.

Let’s explore how creative practices can amplify marginalized voices and reimagine systems of care. Hope to see you there!

As we wrap the community engagement portion of Bodies in Flux, I want to take a moment to thank the following organizations and businesses for your financial and in-kind support provided for the Community Engagement portion of this project. Without your help, these sessions would not have been as rich and engaging as they have been.

Thank you first to for funding Bodies in Flux, allowing my creative ideas to come to life for now the 2nd time, in the last couple of years! Thank you!

Next I have to thank who have been the best community partner a girl could ask for! From creating marketing assets, to acting as on staff support for our community engagement sessions adding educational and factual information to each session. Not to mention all of the logistical support provided by the team! I can not thank you each enough!

Thank you to for providing a space for participants to share their experiences and perspectives, holding true to your mission of storytelling through writing, performance, and visual arts by celebrating strengths, cultivating belonging, and fueling social impact!

And last but certainly not least, thank you to and , for your food donations. Your food helped to nourish our guests and enhance their experience by allowing me to express a small token of gratitude for their involvement.

Stay tuned to the debut of Bodies in Flux; the body of work and the documentary this summer!
