This spring, we held our first recital, Diamonds on Water, at Tilden Arts Center! Seeing all of the hard work our talented dancers have been putting in over the last six months was everything we could have dreamed of! ⚓️🩰

Excited to finally share that Danceport will be joining Boston Dance Theater and Cape Symphony Presents for OCEAN/CURRENT on Friday, August 7. 🌊

This intimate evening of contemporary dance explores our relationship with the ocean through movement, sound, and environmental storytelling. The program includes excerpts from Boston Dance Theater’s SURGE project, created in collaboration with scientists at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), as well as two original works that I created for the Danceport Company: "If the World Was a House" and "Diamonds on the Water".

The night will close with a collaborative improvisation featuring dancers from both companies, followed by a conversation with the artists about the creative process and the connection between dance and ocean science.

This is a project that feels especially meaningful to me, and I’d love to share it with our Danceport community. Tickets are limited, so grab yours soon!

I’m truly honored to have been recognized alongside such an inspiring group of people who are doing amazing work throughout our region. Congratulations to all of this year’s honorees. It was a privilege to celebrate with you.

This recognition means so much because it reflects not only the journey of building Danceport, but also the privilege of serving our community through dance, arts education, mentorship, and my work with Cape Cod Community College.

Honored and grateful to have been invited by CCYP to speak at the Shape the Cape Summit on a topic that resonates so deeply: imposter syndrome.

Sharing space with such thoughtful leaders and engaged community members was truly inspiring, and I’m especially thankful to have presented alongside Andy Platt, whose insight, honesty, and generosity elevated the conversation 🙏

Imposter syndrome can make even the most capable people question themselves, but the truth is this: you belong in the room. Growth comes from showing up anyway, even when it feels uncomfortable 💭

Keep going. Trust your voice. Do the work. You are more capable than you think, and you can absolutely build the life and impact you imagine 💫

What an incredible evening at Dancing with the Docs this past Saturday 🤩

Danceport is honored to have supported this meaningful event by providing rehearsal space in the weeks leading up to the performance. Seeing it all come to life on stage was truly inspiring. This powerful evening brought together artistry, community, and purpose in support of individuals facing cancer across Cape Cod and the Islands through the work of Cape Wellness Collaborative.

A heartfelt congratulations to all of the participants for their dedication and courage, and especially to:
