Kelly Hertz reminds us why we are so excited for Music at the Meridian in 2026!!!! First concert will be the night of July 4 before the fireworks!!!!!!
“Riverside Park is a wonderful place for summer to start (and end) in Yankton. With its vast river view, the park wears summer like a pristine crown. With so many events going on, including all the baseball games at Tereshinski Stadium, the place will never really settle down again until almost Labor Day.
Riverside Park and summer are ideal together. When music fills the air, it’s perfect. When crowds gather to watch the fireworks launched from either across the river or from the bridge, it’s the best seat anywhere. When any event is held there, it always feels like a comfortable setting. It’s soft and peaceful. And, like Tuesday’s pARTy in the Park and first night of Yankton Area Summer Band, it’s often served by a refreshing breeze off the river that makes any night there even more pleasant.”
