The Dakota Theatre The Historic Dakota Theatre is Yankton's oldest performing arts center. The purpose of the Dakota Theatre. The Dakota Theatre is an Onward Yankton project.

is to create and host a broad range of high quality artistic, civic and social experiences to educate, engage and entertain the citizens of the area and preserve and provide suitable facilities to enhance the quality of life in the Yankton region.
