Dearest RSVP Youth Theatre Family,
Happy New Year! Here's hoping you all have a wonderful and theatrical 2023!
It's with deep sadness that I write to you with an announcement about the future of our organization. After months of tears, anguish, trial, and dutiful effort, I have decided to close our organization for good.
The decision was not easy to make, nor was it made lightly. Riding the success of our Summer 2022 show, I was thrilled and looking forward to many projects in the new year with you all. However, due to a combination of factors (money, the low number of participants, Ali’s resignation in September, and the cost of running the business, among other personal matters), I felt it was best to close down operations until further notice.
I believe I can speak for Ali when I say that we have loved every moment we’ve shared together over the past two years, whether eating meals together after practice, sharing funny dances at rehearsal, singing show tunes at the top of our lungs, performing for audiences or spreading cheer to our community. None of it would have been possible without YOU! YOU made my dream come alive, and the support I’ve received in return is greater than I could have imagined.
I hope you can take your lessons from RSVP Youth Theatre out into the world and continue to be the unique and unforgettable humans and artists you are. I’m writing this with tears in my eyes because I’m so grateful for each of you, and I’m sad we will no longer be meeting under the guise of RSVP Youth Theatre. Our website will remain active with links to past show videos and photos for you to watch and save for later.
Thank you for TWO phenomenal years and FOUR outstanding productions! I can’t wait to work with you all again sometime soon! Please feel free to reach out for anything!
With love and appreciation,
Blake Wieseler, Founder-RSVP Youth Theatre
