Mosaics Inspired by Nature Susan Steingress Artist Mosaics done in a variety of commercial, handbuilt and found materials Our river, woods and the Gulf of Mexico give me a wealth of ideas for
my mosaics.

After doing my first mosaic on a whim, I became enchanted by the process,
the diversity of materials that can be utilized,and the direction each mosaic
takes, seemingly on its own. I love the abundant wildlife and have chosen it as the thrust
of my work. Most pieces are one of a kind, and even if I get a request to
repeat a theme, it will always differ from the original...that's the beauty of
th

e medium. My subjects are the art...i am just the interpreter. If I can render
them in a moment that , in some way, strikes you in the heart, them I consider
the piece a success.

So we are opening tomorrow !!!!...its not a big grand opening by any means...that will come when the store is full of pretty things as we are still in the prep stage.
We do have items you will enjoy browsing or buying and we will enjoy your company.
The concept of the store starts with our care about our charming community and our goal is to inspire other small business opportunities to our sweet little town.
We want to empower women by providing them with ownership of a product that makes them feel good or just simply makes them happy inside. We want to succeed but our success occurs when our community members find that innate happiness by adding a beautiful item to their home or adding that exclamation point to your outfit with a beautiful and yet inexpensive piece of jewelry.
We are looking at a clothing line that makes sense for the woman that loves our local lifestyle. Our local art is amazing and we plan to add more. I have been floored by some of the local artistry in my search and can't wait to show it to you. I am interested in having more ladies on board with their interest to display what they can offer. We have integrity, innovation and We have FUN !!!

Guess who is back in the studio? Love these otters so much had to do another. The original is a table (shown) but this one is a wall hanging that will look great over a couch it is 13.5 X 48 inches. Stay tuned!

So, finally over the hurricane trauma and back at it. This gator has been in the making for what seems like decades. In the home stretch after cutting each piece, slumping the gator pieces, putting the puzzle in place and adding the stone and glass. Grout is next and he will be finished. Stay tuned for the final, final. This gator is 24X36 inches.
