Today was one of those days that reminds me why I love what I do. ❤️
I had the opportunity to be a guest speaker at The Terraces at Summitview, where I shared about the benefits of improv classes and the joy of creative connection. I met so many interesting people, heard wonderful stories, and I’m excited to hopefully see some new faces in improv soon.🤩
Later, I had the privilege of teaching at Hopebridge Adult Day Center.
Today’s session felt especially meaningful as I introduced some new sensory and tactile games using items from my “magic bag.” A beautiful scarf gifted to me by a friend became part of a memory-sharing activity: “When I see or feel this scarf, I think of…” It sparked connection, storytelling, and heartfelt memories.💕
A small stuffed pig, gifted by another friend, also made a special appearance in a game where we passed him around and transformed him into “not a pig, but a…” The creativity and laughter that followed were pure joy. 🐷
We ended by creating a collaborative canvas painting together while passing around a rose quartz gem — each person adding their own touch, energy, and imagination to the artwork.
It was such a beautiful reminder that connection, creativity, and play can bring people together in powerful ways. ✨
Feeling grateful tonight for community, shared laughter, meaningful moments, and the chance to help others express themselves through improv and creativity.
