It was a great night in Larson Park! YVC campus was lit up and the Burger was excellent!!
We talked about the issue with a certain Department in Yakima County when it comes to Health. I appreciate hearing the facts from those who know, and until people are paid accordingly for their skills, and not being overworked and under paid, things can't get better.
Again, they don't want to pay skilled professionals for their qualifications in the work force. Why? ITS PAYING MONEY!! They'd rather hire people who have disabilities and receive Social Security benefits at just under a full time rate rather than pay YOU and ME, who are the qualified skilled, productive professionals in the workforce.
I'm glad we had our Dinner meeting with my friends EXCELLENT BURGER he made. Although because he is paid, and not disabled, almost EVERYONE is called out the day he works at his job as a trained Chef, and HE has to do ALL the work. That's NOT right.
We need to focus on Economic Development in Yakima County and that requires BRINGING MONEY IN FROM OUTSIDE OF YAKIMA. THAT'S GOING TO REQUIRE A PROJECT AND DOING SOMETHING DIFFERENT. THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NO OTHER WAY.
YAKIMA COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATES did invite me to their event, and in the video I took of my parents, they refused to assist with transportation to Sunnyside Washington so I could attend the meeting. They have more than enough transportation. The City of Yakima tried to schedule me different shuttles, but again nobody offered me a ride and Commissioner Kyle Curtis said he would not be in attendance at the meeting that day.
WE NEED A BIG PROJECT to bring people here.
