To those of you who have reached out, we are ok here at the YVS. I and my fire crews were dispatched to the fire to assist our neighboring departments fight this fast moving fire. Although this is near Yacolt, we are still several miles away. The YVS family is safe, thank you all !! For thinking of us 😀

Drivers, pit crews and fans what an awesome Sat of dirt track go kart racing. You are all what makes our little grass roots Yacolt Valley Speedway what it is and keeps our passion alive. Some outstanding racing, some first time visitors and lots of laps. Some good hard racing, lots of position swaps and a few hard crashes that all competitors walked away from.

Regarding the hard crash by the #77 Dillon Andrus, besides a few tears and a sore shoulder he is good to go. Racing is a tough sport, wrecks and accidents happen. This kid is tough as nails and is already talking about his next opportunity. He says thank you to those who have asked how he’s doing. The sling was just precautionary right after the crash.

For those of you making the trip to Yacolt Valley Speedway tomorrow here are a few FYI’s

1)Pit Gates open at 9am, please keep in mind our pits are on the small to medium size for room. Depending on turn out, you may have to unload and park haulers and trucks out front. 28’ trailer will be tight getting in and out. Spectator gates at 12pm for practice/qualifying. Racing at 3pm

2) Track swag (t-shirts, stickers) and concessions will be available

3) No animals PLEASE.

4) NO SMOKING in main spectator area or pits. We do have a designated smoking area out front near the parking areas.

5) We do use Receivers, bring them if you have em. Not required, but helps a lot.

6) We take cash, cash-app, Venmo

7) We do have a large shop under construction. Our pit access road run adjacent to this. Please keep out of the shop.

8)We do have limited disabled parking spaces right inside the main property entrance. Proceed straight past the first parking sign, spaces are on the immediate right. Please display your pass.

9) This is also our home, please respect the out of bounds areas.

Hey all you boss drivers, Radical pit crews and wicked awesome fans, come out out this Sat for some 80’s music and gnarly dirt track go kart action. We will be rocking out and watching these driver through it sideways. It’s going to be far out! 🏁

Mowers, if your wanting to crank it up Sat after the big race Up north Friday, come on out and join us for some great mid summer 80’s Showdown.

Also possible classes with enough turn out.
*212cc rigid frame mini bikes,
*Mini Racers- A kids ( 4-8 yrs) entry level class for battery, Power-wheels type cars. These would be 1 or 2 laps for fun races for the littles with parent assist and no race fee. General admission still applies.

Please, No Dogs or animals per our insurance liability agreement.

No smoking in pits or general seating area. Smoking area is located out front near main gate only.
