Ahoy!! Calling all artists! This is your official call to submit art for our Annual Mermaid Day Art Show.

Although we all know Mermaid Day is technically March 29th, Poseidon has given us special dispensation to celebrate on Saturday, March 28th this year.

Here's what you need to know:
EMAIL or MESSAGE US FOR A SUBMISSION FORM and send a PHOTO of your pieces to [email protected] by Saturday, March 7th.

IF ACCEPTED, art must be DELIVERED READY TO HANG/DISPLAY by Saturday, March 14th.

You are asked to attend the show’s opening night gala. Remember to invite your fans to the show's OPENING NIGHT SOIREE on Saturday, March 28th (5-9pm)!

Everyone’s favorite Wyandotte artist is in New York this weekend

Big news! Are you going to be at the New York Comic Con this week? Well so is GAPO the Clown. Come down to artist alley, table H9, and you can pick up the GAPO the Clown New York Comic Con Exclusive for only $5! That's right, five bucks gets you a con exclusive. Where else are you going to find a deal like that. But you better come early. This comic is extremely limited. There are only 25 copies, so once it's gone, that's it. And check out The Art of Tony Miello for another exclusive I'll be a part of at NYCC.

ARTIST CALL from the deep...

The sea creatures are stirring...mermaid, naiad, siren, sea nymph and merman alike. What enchanting fantasies and creative artworks, these mythical creatures inspire!

These creatures appear in the folklore of many cultures worldwide. They are commonly found in the open ocean but they also swim to freshwater lakes and rivers. Might we spot one off the shores of our own Detroit River?!

Mermaids call out to unsuspecting high seas passengers, sailors, bootleggers, pirates and artists. They are sweet, alluring, beautiful, magical, charming, passionate, hypnotic, spiritual, secretive, vain and seductive.

Sirens are the predators who lure sailors to their deaths--the ones who you picture with spikes, sharp teeth, webbed hands and fierce eyes. They are portrayed as monstrous beasts who have been known to eat humans!

Splish Splash! Show and tell us your TAIL of these mythical creatures by submitting your mermaid inspired art work to our gallery for a unique multi-artist show!

*Art submission for consideration deadline: Friday, March 8th (including title(s), price(s) & short artist bio.)
*Accepted art drop-off deadline: Friday, March 15th
*Show opening gala: Friday, March 29th "International Mermaid Day" (5-9pm)
*Participating artists are asked to attend and promote to friends, family and frenemies.
