Good afternoon to my pet show friends & family!! I want to take a minute to say THANK YOU so much for showing up, participating and helping to make our pet show such an awesome event.
I truly love seeing you and your pets each year. You all just show up & show out with smiles, wagging tails and all the other fun stuff !! We had a VERY impressive group of participants yesterday. Y'all, please continue to stay tuned in on JoCo's July 4th Pet Show FB page for more photos & updates from yesterday's show to be shared.
I would really LOVE for you all to send me some of your photos from the pet show. I'd LOVE to see the pet show from your camera's perspective & I'd also LOVE to share some of your photos to our pet show FB page. THANKS FOR ALL OF THE PARTICIPATION IN THIS YEARS PET SHOW!! It was hot, but you all still showed up and I was overjoyed to see every pet & person. Now.....Drum Roll 🥁🥁🥁
Our 2026 4th of July Pet Show GRAND CHAMPION was awarded to JET, a 3 month old boer goat. What a great looking goat!! JET was shown by her owner, Caroline Daniel. JET is a show goat with Johnson County 4-H. Congratulations JET and Caroline!!!

Bring the entire family—including your favorite furry friends—to the annual Pet Show on the Square! Whether your pet is dressed in patriotic colors or simply enjoys meeting new friends, this is always a community favorite.

📍 Downtown Wrightsville Square

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office encourages everyone to:

🐾 Keep pets on a leash.
💧 Bring water for your pets.
☀️ Keep them cool during the evening.
🚗 Drive carefully as families and pedestrians will be throughout downtown.

Come out for an evening of smiles, laughter, and community spirit!

Beautiful Kinsley Brantley and her good looking boer goat, Arizona were a BIG hit at last year's show ❤️🇺🇸

Wrightsville's annual 'July 4th Pet Show' is this afternoon @ courthouse square (west side)
Registration starts @ 6pm

My brother Rocky Tanner and I have been hosting this event for several years now. Our mission is to simply have some fun, smile a lot & laugh some too, as we celebrate our AMERICAN pride & our awesome pets and love for animals ❤️

Things to consider:

☆ For your comfort, I recommend you bring a lawn chair, & maybe something to fan yourself with, & maybe a sweat rag etc...😁
AND of course, please be sure all pets are on a leash or whatever is appropriate to keep your pet and all other pets & people safe!!
