I haven't posted anything in awhile but it doesn't mean that things aren't blooming at the Glass Shed. I'm terrible at growing flowers but glass (Ooh La La), it seems to pop up all around me. If you are a fan of Van Gogh glass, like me, you will be delighted with the new selections. Colors like: Black sparkle on rain, Gold sparkle on rain, Green, Blue/Green, Aqua/red, Copper, Turquoise sparkle on rain, silver, blue/violet color changing glass and more that elude me right now. Iridescent glass, sea glass colors, art glass and much more has been arriving daily. Text me at 774-210-2238 if you'd like your own private peak and we can set up a time. I did try to take pictures of the new Van Gogh but the pictures did not do it justice. You will just have t come in and see the sparkle for yourself!

Yesterday after spending days stuck inside or digging out from under the mounds of snow, I just had to escape- everyone needs their happy place, right? For me it was a walk on Ogunquit beach-snow or no snow... Today my Happy Place will be the Glass Shed. If you are looking to escape and want that moment of creativity, it will be open from 10:30 until after dark. Anyone coming for moonlight madness (anytime after 5 pm) to shop will receive 10% off their entire purchase. First time we have had a sale- but a once or twice in a lifetime storm! Hoping to have some more pop up events/sales so keep your eye out. I will be restocking with new glass all day, so please join me even if it is just for a chat- Let's all get our creativity moving again! EXCITING NEWS: More than 200 new pieces of Youghiogheny glass will be added to the Glass Shed in time for the Holiday Open House and Market.
Youghiogheny glass is known for its hand rolled glass
This glass has a waxy, misty, and ice-like appearance. It often includes multiple streaked colors.
Key features: The streaking of colors creates a three-dimensional visual effect, especially when illuminated.
Sub-variations: Some versions include a ripple effect (Ripple Stipple) or an iridescent finish (Stipple Iridized).
Oceana Glass
Description: A highly distinctive type of glass known for its soft mottling and delicate, wispy background.
Key features: A type of dichromatic glass, it appears opalescent in reflected light but shows brilliant swirling colors (pinks, reds, yellows) when light is transmitted through it.
High Strike
Description: A traditional mottled art glass with one or two color mixes.
Key features: The surface can feature a ring mottled pattern. High Strike glass is also available in rippled or iridescent finishes.
Y96 Fusible
Description: A line of glass manufactured to be compatible with System 96 COE (Coefficient of Expansion), designed for glass fusing.
Key features: Offers a spectrum of colors in fusible cathedral, opal, and mixed glass styles.

Our annual Holiday Open House and Market is right around the corner. We hope you will take the time to come by and support local artists, old friends, and newcomers. It is an event that we always look forward to and hope that you do too. It is being held a week later than usual due to a prior commitment (grandkids come first!)
