We’re bringing back Open Mic Night for the first time since March! 🎤✨ Here’s a flashback to our very first one last year, launched by Gabriel Michael LIVE. It was such a magical night filled with passion!

Musicians, singers, poets, storytellers, and all other forms of creative expression are welcome…no matter your skill level. Even if you don’t perform, come listen and support others. You may leave inspired to create and share something of your own!✨✨

We’ll also have a karaoke machine, so come sing your favorite songs! 🎶

We are SO excited to bring back Open Mic Night! 🎤✨ And this time, we’ll also have a karaoke machine! 🎶

There’s something so healing about singing your favorite songs in a space where you feel safe to be yourself. Bring a poem, instrument, song, or story…or just come hang out, listen, and support others.

You don’t have to be perfect. It’s all about expressing yourself and having fun! ❤️

Today, we celebrate the graduation of our third RISE Wellness cohort! 🎓✨

The kids completed a six week wellness curriculum facilitated by Sarah Cham, a wellness coach and mental health practitioner. Throughout the program, they explored mental health coping skills, journaling, and creative expression.

We are so proud of each participant for completing the program and investing in their mental and emotional wellbeing! ❤️

Our next RISE Wellness cohort will focus on college students and begin in mid October. More information is coming soon!

Here are some of the posters created during yesterday’s workshop! 🎨✨

This year’s theme is Art Heals, and everyone is encouraged to draw and decorate a poster showing what “Art Heals” means to them.

We’ll carry these posters in the Turkey Day Parade to celebrate the healing power of art and how it connects us as a community.❤️

Our next poster decorating workshop is September 10th. Everyone is welcome…we hope to see you there!✨✨✨

It’s that time of year again! We’re preparing for the annual Turkey Day Parade for September 19th! 🎨✨

Last year, our theme was “An Uplifting Walk,” where participants created signs featuring messages and images promoting positivity and unity.

This year, our theme is “Art Heals.”❤️

Because art and healing mean something different to everyone, we welcome all ideas and forms of expression! Join us for our first workshop to create a poster showing what “Art Heals” means to you.🎨

We’ll also meet on Thursday September 10th and Thursday September 17th, giving you more opportunities to create and finish your poster before the parade.👏👏

Let’s join forces to promote healing through art at this year’s parade! Bring a friend…everyone is welcome to create and walk with us! ✨✨

Earlier this week, we welcomed Sarina and Courtney from the Department of Public Transformation . Together, they lead the Activate Rural program, which we’re honored to be part of. They came to Creative Healing Space for the first time to co-host an event with us!

Before they left, we invited them to share a few words of wisdom on our community chalkboard wall. It has become a tradition for those who step into our space to leave behind a little encouragement for others.❤️

If you haven’t had a chance to add yours yet, make sure to do so the next time you attend one of our events! Your words may be exactly what someone else needs to keep going. ✨

Thank you to everyone who joined us for last night’s Creatives & Entrepreneurs Mixer! The evening was filled with energy, passion, and inspiring ideas. We’re grateful to have connected with so many talented community members and explored how we can support and uplift one another.
