What is that?

We created a baby book on the Nimiipuu language in 2024/2025. Even though we sold out of these baby books in 2025, we have officially restocked! This book is a great way for the youth to learn the animals quickly and consistently.

The idea came to us after all of our time spent in the mountains - pointing out animals and plants - wanting to know their real names. As young girls, we would go to the language classes at our local cultural institution, Tamastslikt, with our father for language classes. We learned what we know so far from following him around & his language teachers and hope many other youth can learn some of our local animals. Our grandma spoke the language fluently, and it is a dream of ours to continue pursuing the language.

After we had kids, we knew we wanted to start them off on the language at a much younger age than we did. So - in fact - we really created this book for them so we could have them grow up learning earlier. 🤍

Finally! A small project we could take with us on travels, small enough to fit in a purse, itself a purse, a beaded belt bag.

Mary started this project in 2009 and for 17 years this belt bag sat. This year, she finally finished putting together this beaded floral belt bag that matches our great grandfathers war shirt, passed down to our father, adorning our own family regalia.

Beaded with antique old stock pink seed beads acquired by our mother via Grandma Ruby’s Trading post before we were old enough to start beading. We add small details and pieces of history, so subtle that only we know, until we tell their story.

This is your reminder that no matter how old your projects are, no matter how long they sit, its never to late to pick them up and add a little until they are complete! We have had many projects that were "In Progress" over the years, and when the timing is right, we go back to them.

Also, because we just couldn’t wait any longer, we have this beautiful beaded cowrie shell dress available as of today! It is cut from the same cloth as the pink and green beaded cowrie shell dress, a sister dress we say🌻 Message us for details🌻 We would love to see this dress worn, danced in, and loved🌻
It fits the 5’5”-5’8” height range, and M-XL size.
