🎬 Seeking Kindred Crew for Whimsical, Heart-Forward Web Series 🎧

Shout-out to fellow creative souls! 🥳

I’m Kara Emily Krantz, Artistic Director of Becoming More Productions, a small company devoted to developing nKara Emily Krantzmotionally resonant work across stage and screen. I’m currently collaborating with FunSize Films on Heaven Help Us: a whimsical, character-driven web series exploring life, death, bureaucracy, and the strange beauty of being human.

We’re gearing up to shoot Episode 3: “A Real Improv-Ment”, and I’m seeking a few key collaborators to help bring this vision to life.

📅 August 30 & 31 (Sat & Sun)
⏱️ 8–10 hour days (indoor + outdoor locations)
🥗 Snacks and lunches provided with love

🎯 Currently Seeking:

• 🎧 Production Sound Mixer / Boom Op – we have the gear, but need skilled hands

• 🗂️ Assistant Director (AD) – help keep us/me moving with clarity and care

• 💡 Gaffer / Lighting Support – elevate the visuals with lighting help

• 📸 BTS Photographer / Social Media Helper – capture the process and help us grow our presence

Heaven Help Us is currently volunteer-based and self-funded, with dreams of scaling. Our crew is small but mighty: artistically ambitious, deeply kind, and joyfully weird.

A Note from our Artistic Director, Kara Emily Krantz:

Performing with a mask while recovering from Covid was definitely not on my 2024 (or Lifetime) Bingo Card, but neither were half of the other challenges this production has brought us.

But we did it. We brought to life a beautiful story, in a beauty-full way, and we shared it with the world. And you all have reflected such joy and vulnerability and excitement back to us.

Our last two performances were some of our best, which I never would have imagined possible with half my face covered, but theater audiences are an exceptional group of humans (and so is this cast and crew). And I love all of you. Everyone involved and everyone who has attended or supported this endeavor has helped me and healed me in ways you don't even know, but I hope to share that truth with you throYou, Me, & Ennui: a new play by Kara Emily Krantzaywright, a seeker/healer, and a theater-maker.

One more chance to see You, Me, & Ennui: a new play by Kara Emily Krantz: This afternoon (Sunday) at 2PM. Walk-ins are welcome, just come on down!

After Opening Night, there are seven (7) more opportunities to experience this particular moment in time.

Your messages, support, ticket reservations, and donations have already humbled and inspired us, and we cannot wait to celebrate this moment with you.

This may have been one of the most challenging experiences of some of our lives, but it also feels like one of the most meaningful. It feels important. It feels like perseverance and storytelling and intentionality and artistic communion and joy. So here we are, ready to share our Ennui, with you.
