Post Road Chorus Post Road Chorus is dedicated to the enjoyment, education, and performance of a cappella harmony. Visitors are always welcome!

Post Road Chorus, a Region 1 chapter of Sweet Adelines International, was chartered in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts in 1986. The chorus is now based in Worcester, Massachusetts, and rehearses at Briarwood Community Center under the leadership of our director, Ray Johnson. We choose songs that share the stories of our lives, reflecting on our best experiences, and inspiring us to relate with passion a

nd emotion. Themes of overcoming challenges, fulfilling our potential, and the highs and lows of love resonate throughout our repertoire. Our repertoire includes Brave, Rhythm of the Falling Rain, I See the Light, Fight Song, Don't Stop, Count On Me, Ordinary Miracle, and of course, holiday music! If you want to bring more music and more friends into your life, we hope you'll join us at one of our rehearsals.

Our Women’s Chorus was honored to help celebrate our flag’s birthday this weekend with the Daughters of the American Revolution at the Colonel Timothy Bigelow Chapter House in Worcester. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with patriotic music, great company, cake, ice cream, and lots of happy faces!🎶🍰🍦 Happy Birthday to the Red, White, and Blue! What a wonderful evening of learning, laughter, and singing with the incomparable Debra Lynn Bel Canto !

Post Road was thrilled to welcome Debra for a coaching session on May 12th, and the impact was immediately felt throughout the chorus. At our very next rehearsal, members were still talking about — and putting into practice — the many valuable techniques and insights she shared.

Debra’s approach to singing — breathing easy, releasing tension, and allowing the natural voice to flow — resonated with singers across the chorus. Each of us walked away with something meaningful to work on, both individually and as part of the ensemble. For many members, this was their very first coaching experience, and it could not have been more positive, encouraging, and fun.

Thank you, Debra, for your warmth, expertise, humor, and inspiring instruction. You are truly a wonderful fit for Post Road, and we promise we won’t wait another eight years before inviting you back again!

Today we sang farewell to a truly special woman, Betty Ann Hazelhurst — a charter member of Post Road Chorus, a Sweet Adeline in every sense of the word.

Betty Ann shared her extraordinary gifts as a talented singer and creative choreographer, helping shape not just performances, but the spirit and heart of our chorus. Her passion for music, her dedication, and her warmth touched everyone who had the privilege of standing beside her on the risers.
Across Region 1 and beyond, she was admired, respected, and deeply loved. Her laughter, kindness, and unwavering encouragement will echo in every note we sing moving forward.

Though we say goodbye with heavy hearts, we are forever grateful for the harmony she brought into our lives. Her legacy will live on in every song, every step, and every cherished memory. ❤️

Our marathon 2025 Holiday performance season finished strong today with our final two performances - at Worcester's The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts JMAC for Sister's Christmas Catechism, and Old Sturbridge Village Christmas By Candlelight. Merry Christmas! We hope everyone's holiday is filled with joy and music!
