Check out this fun activity for the LEGO lover in your life!

Help build a giant American flag out of LEGO® for America's 250th birthday!

Patrons of all ages can stop by the Main Library to stack some bricks on Saturday, June 13, and help build our piece of an 8-ft LEGO® flag that will be showcased at the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular in celebration of America's Semiquincentennial!

Worcester Public Library is 1 of 4 libraries in Massachusetts who will build a piece of the LEGO® flag.

This program is made possible thanks to LEGO®, MA250, Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, and Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular.

Massachusetts has poured hundreds of millions of dollars into child care through Commonwealth Cares for Children grants, which have helped stabilize the industry by boosting wages, slowing tuition increases, and expanding the number of child-care slots. However, care remains unaffordable for many families—especially low-income households—as funding hasn’t kept pace with growing demand, leaving thousands of eligible children wait-listed and policymakers facing tough choices about how to target limited resources.

The C3 grants are boosting wages, moderating tuition growth.

Although the Elm Park playground is currently closed for repairs, the Day of Play is still happening as planned! We’re located at the opposite end of the park—closer to Elm Street and directly across from St. Spyridon Greek Church. See you there!
