Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Young Professionals Market Meetup this past weekend. We had a great Saturday morning connecting with one another and hearing from Forrest Lang, lecturer at Ohio State ATI and owner of ADF Acres, before heading to the Downtown Wooster Farmers’ Market to learn more about community impact.

Join Young Professionals on Thursday, September 10, for a morning of connection, collaboration and skill-building at Nick Amster Inc., whose mission is to advocate for and foster independence and inclusion for individuals to live, learn and work in their communities.

This volunteer opportunity will give Young Professionals a chance to connect with participants through conducting interviews, engaging in team-building activities and games while working together to develop vital communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills. It’s a great way to give back, learn from one another and build meaningful relationships within our community.

The Wooster Area Safety Council recently came together for another valuable safety session focused on “Accident Analysis: Building a Culture of Prevention.”

A special thank-you to the Wooster Area Safety Council Committee along with Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation representative and Safety Consultant, Cari Grey, for helping make the session a success. Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in great roundtable discussions, share insights and experiences, and talk through accident analysis and what they should be prepared for when an incident occurs.

We also want to express our appreciation to Jimmy John's for providing lunch for our attendees! 🥪

Join us for a special Beyond Business Event at The Wooster Brush Company’s North Facility as they celebrate their 175th anniversary.

From 4–6 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, Chamber members will have the opportunity to enjoy refreshments, explore the company’s rich history and get a behind-the-scenes look at the Wooster Brush North Facility.

Enjoy soft pretzels, dips, and mocktails while exploring historical products and a 175-year timeline. The Wooster Brush Company’s 175th anniversary video will also be playing throughout the event, and guests will receive a special anniversary gift.

Beginning at 4:30 p.m., guided tours will be offered in small groups of 8–10. Tours will last approximately 30 minutes and will include headsets and safety glasses. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Plus, enter the business card drawing for a chance to win one of three $175 gift cards to Ace Hardware, Local Roots or Broken Rocks!

The arrival of the new FedEx building in Wooster Ohio represents more then a new building. It represents an investment in a community. They strive to build a strong partnership with Wooster and Wayne County. Their operation will have over 250 workers. They will hire as many local people as possible.
