Here’s a picture of my newest watercolor piece called “Sol & Tithonus”

This piece was both a challenge and an absolute blast. I thoroughly enjoyed the process of creating the glowy petals and discovering their shadows on the leaves.

I used photos of sunflowers I grew when Felix was little for my references (and the buggos that visited them!) they were grown in a period of healing for us, and they brought me so much joy. At that time they almost felt like a metaphor for the growth and self care in my life.

I am grateful to get to immortalize those memories in this piece.

Hey everyone, we have a very special art exhibit coming in to the Muse this Saturday, June 6 through June 27. Western Artist Gary Leddy of Leedey, OK will be displaying his art in the Roberson Exhibition Gallery. This is in conjunction with the Rodeo City Western Art Week in Woodward. We're taking the phrase, "Let's Rodeo" to an entirely new level.

NOTE there will be an Exhibit Opening Reception at PIPM on June 13, from 2-4PM with light refreshments provided and art to see!
