Rocky Ridge Flutes Rocky Ridge Flutes was started by Bull Slocumb and Keith Daniel who craft Native American Style flut

At Rocky Ridge Flutes we enjoy making Native American flutes. Most of the woods we use were harvested here in North Alabama and sawn by us. We make 5 hole flutes tuned to the pentatonic scale so all notes are in harmony. We craft flutes of eastern red and western cedar, yellow pine, cherry, hickory, red oak, elm, black walnut, osage orange, and chittum (smoke wood ). We also use imported woods suc

h as mahogany and leopard wood. Our goal is to craft beautiful sounding flutes with the beautiful woods the Creator has given us.

Good morning Family and Friends. Hope everyone is doing good. We are doing fine--Bull is recovering from knee replacement surgery. ( 6 weeks out). Physical therapy is coming along real good.
Rocky Ridge Flute will be at Echota Powwow September 26-28 at Falkville Al. Hope to see a lot of old friends and make a lot of new friends.

Good Morning Rocky Ridge Flutes followers. Hope everyone is doing well after all the stormy weather yesterday and last night. We are fine---just lots of water but no damage.

A friend sent us a photo of a " Willie Nelson" gnome and wanted us to make one. It was a bit of a challenge but I think we did it justice. Also had fun figuring it out. Decided to make a "mate" for Willie also.

Hi Family and Friends. Hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving. We ate too much but that is what the season is for.
Here is one of Mr Bulls older projects. He did a fabulous job on it. It is displayed in a local church and really looks "at home" there. Yall stay safe and warm--keep an eye on each other. Weather is turning cold again.
