Have you been to The Woodstock Opera House lately & wondered why there is an Oliver #3 typewriter in our window? It is part of our 130th anniversary celebration of the Oliver Typewriter Company coming to Woodstock. It is also part of The Woodstock Typewriter Trail, happening now all over Woodstock.

By the late 1920's, the Oliver and Woodstock typewriter companies accounted for half of the world's production! Each location on the trail features a unique story that accompanies an authentic machine, many of which were originally manufactured right here in Woodstock!

You can take part in the trail by downloading the Naturally McHenry County app & even enter for a chance to win a grand prize!

This month we are getting spooktacular with The Spooky Side of Fall featuring the art of WCUSD 200 Kids Club! Come check out all the haunted magic they have brought to The Opera House through their creativity.

Exhibit dates run from September 29th to October 25th!

Come visit us during normal Box Office hours Tuesday - Saturday 10 am - 4 pm, Sunday Noon - 4 pm & Closed on Mondays.

Art only available for public viewing during open gallery hours which are subject to change. That means you should always check in with The Box Office first before heading out to visit us!

What an exceptional weekend of Pay-What-You-Can and Free Events we had here at The Historic Woodstock Opera House!

There was the haunting film 'The Phantom of The Opera' with proceeds going to Warp Corps

There was the stunning magic of Ukrainian Dance!

& we hope you got to take in the brilliant sounds of Navy Band Great Lakes performing for the first time on our main stage!
