The stand is expected to open one weekend per month, or as needed. It will be located right outside the studio entrance, which is the lower garage door. Please respect the property and students coming in and out of the studio while shopping. If the “potter parking” is open, please park there first.

That being said, you know how we like to name important things in the studio…..so what do we call the stand? Names already used on equipment in the studio are: Nellie, Cheech, Chong, Snoop, The Boss, & Mamie. We’ve also already used “Betty” (RIP my paragon).

Hi Cherokee!

The Pot Head Shed Pottery Studio ‘s self serve pottery “seconds stand” is making its debut this coming weekend! If you are into purchasing handmade ceramics at slashed prices, you no longer have to wait for the studio’s annual seconds sale. You don’t even have to wait for me because it’s self serve! The stand accepts cash and venmo. *Please park in “potter parking” areas when available.*

The stand will be rolled outside the studio when the inside seconds shelf gets full. I expect at least one weekend per month. Think of it as a pottery yard sale.

“Seconds” are ceramics that may have a small imperfection or flaw. This flaw could be as little as the artist didn’t like the foot ring, or a glaze didn’t turn out as expected. They are usually however, still completely functional. You may also find some items in there that do not have any flaws, but I simply no longer want to look at 😆. Every single piece is one of a kind.

For those that aren’t familiar with my studio, I teach private and couples wheel throwing out of my home studio. The inside studio and stock is accessibly by appointment only. However, if it happens to be open during a stand sale- don’t hesitate to poke your head inside and ask to view the rest of my retail stock, view the studio, or inquire about classes.

I also want to thank this community for all the love the studio has been shown since changing locations in 2024. You’ve truly helped a lifelong dream come true in this house. 🙌
