There’s something extra special about painting a place that’s about to become part of someone’s story.
I recently had the honor of creating this commissioned painting of Monet Monet on 30A for a bride who will be married there next month. (She already received the gift!) I loved trying to capture all the charm - the roof, the bougainvillea, those beautiful green shutters, the overflowing flowers, and that magical entrance.
Long after the flowers are gone and the wedding dress is tucked away, I hope this painting brings her right back to that day every time she sees it hanging in her home.
And this is one of my favorite things about commissions: creating a piece of art that isn’t just beautiful, it is meaningful.
