My 40 yr old Dawn Redwood tree (in Frederick) has produced an astounding crop of its charming cones: about the size of acorns, with unusual fourfold symmetry. Most of those which have fallen from the tree have already shed their seeds, but if you want the unusual, charming (and this year quite plentiful) cones -email me. Bring bag(s) or box(es). There are both newly dropped warm brown color cones, and grey-brown cones dropped a bit earlier. Mary at [email protected]

Forestheart Studio has been around for 40-some years; and it's retirement time for me. The building at 200 South Main Street Woodsboro is for sale. Give me a call to make an appointment to see it- OR TO SHOP because there is still a lot of inventory on hand at steep discounts (and some for free!). 301-663-3855 [email protected]. I'd love to see you and share memories, projects, and whatever comes up in the conversations between creatives.

As the light from the early November sunset peeked through the trees on Monday, Rick Bontz posed in his yard with his artistic nature display.
