THE REBIRTH OF AN IDEA
THE MARTINFELD RANCH WAS ORIGINALLY APPROVED FOR ITS SITE PLAN IN 2013. THE PLAN WAS APPROVED FOR A FARM STAND, PAINTBALL FIELD, AND NON-RESIDENTIAL ARTIST COLONY WITH THE HOPES OF BEING ABLE TO PROMOTE ARTS IN THE CATSKILL FOOTHILLS. SINCE THEN THE FARM STAND HAD CLOSED AND A FEW YEARS LATER THE PAINTBALL BUSINESS CLOSED BUT THE SUPPORT OF LOCAL ARTISTS AS A PLACE TO WORK, STUDY, SHARE IDEAS, AND GROW IDEAS HAS REMAINED.
