Robert’s latest creation.

Robert Mishoe was born and raised in Archdale /Trinity North Carolina. He now enjoys retirement living in Woodlawn Virginia with his wife.

Robert’s unique skills as a master woodcarver, began early in his life. He developed his natural abilities further by training with master, carver, Zanius Cirulis, a native Latvian. Robert worked as a master woodcarver for Thomasville furniture Industries in Thomasville, North Carolina for over 30 years .

His natural talent for drawing and intricate detailed carving is evident in numerous carvings completed for Thomasville furniture. His original carvings were used to mass produce beautiful furniture sold all over the world.

Robert’s interest goes beyond furniture design. He takes great pride in designing and creating various pieces of art involving nature. He has received numerous awards and recognition for his talent and design. In the 1990’s he was featured as a guest on “Roy’s Folks”. One of his proudest moments includes receiving a blue ribbon for his carving design of a wildfowl decoy while competing at the Ward World Carving Championship in Ocean City, Maryland.
