Please join us for a special evening celebrating the creative voices of Yolo County youth. Empower Yolo, with the support of TANA, is excited to invite you to a special art exhibit and contest showcasing the incredible talent of students from Woodland High School and Pioneer High School. The event is inspired by the theme “Ending Sexual Violence and Promoting Safe and Healthy Relationships.” The exhibition and art contest will showcase student artwork created around these important ideas and invite our community to come together in support of their voices and creativity.
This event is presented in partnership with Empower Yolo, TANA, and CommuniCare+Ole, and features the After School Safety and Enrichment for Teens (ASSETs) program and the Sexual Violence Prevention and Education Program, both programs of Empower Yolo.
Bring your family and friends and join us for an evening of art, community, and celebration! Students will also be selling food to raise funds for their activities. Beverages and other surprises will be available as well.
If you have any questions, contact María Elena Martinez, Lead Promotora, at 530-405-9243. We hope to see you at TANA!

🎬 Community Film Night at TANA
Join us for a special screening of The Battle of Algiers (1966), widely regarded as one of the most
influential political films ever made. Directed by Gillo Pontecorvo, this powerful film recreates a
pivotal chapter in Algeria’s struggle for independence from French colonial rule during the 1950s.
Shot in a striking documentary style on the streets of Algiers, the film explores themes of resistance,
colonialism, state violence, and liberation. More than 60 years after its release, The Battle of Algiers
continues to inspire discussion and reflection around movements for freedom and social justice
across the world.
