This morning we lost our beloved Heath Grit Jackson. This was his favorite song of ours. He would call for it at pretty much every show he came to. He also did the album art for this and four other albums of ours. We lived in community, raised babies side by side and never let go of our connection. We are heartbroken and praying so much comfort for all of his people. We love you, Jacksons. 4-ever.

Been hard at work at the semi-homestead since 7/1. Solving for challenges like solar power, intrusive cows, non-flushing toilet, mice, paint and propane. We are happier than we have ever been and so are our dogs. ❤️

Thanks to our amazing Kickstarters, we were able to have our own first ever live Nashville string session for this album!! We started with “Flower That Blooms In The Night” and Mark Bovee arranged the strings. We weren’t able to be there in person, so our buddy Olivia grabbed some video for us. Mark and Barry produced from Colorado and the strings were performed by David Davidson and his crew. Michelle’s parents and our friend Piper sat in for this special day. We can’t wait for you to hear this version! We wrote this song for our friends Annie & Mitzie, two of the most resilient people we have ever met. Their stories informed these lyrics BIG TIME. In the meantime, the demo version is streaming everywhere.

A lil’ video action from the Medicine recording session with Kim Vidaurri and Beth Rohman, who sang the harmonies like a buncha sirens! We wrote this song for Stef Rohman and she was there for the session. One of our favorite recording days ever! Medicine is streaming everywhere.
